Maghdie Enous joined ComSpark in 2004 and has over 20 years of electrical trade experience. Magdhie was the 2012 Frank Battista award winner, cementing his position as a role model and mentor to many of ComSpark‘s electricians and apprentices. Maghdie’s knowledge and skills make him an all rounder, able to undertake quick ‘do and charge’ work or manage large projects with multiple teams and trades. He has supervised many sizeable projects including the refurbishment of a large shopping centre, changing every light fitting to LED lights, this was a night time work only project with a team of six. He also successfully ran a year long project at the Perth airport.

Steve Neilsen

Steve originally joined ComSpark in 2006 after he finished with his family run company which undertook many government contracts, maintenance and breakdown work, including specialising in pumps, bores and motors. In 2011 Steve decided to leave ComSpark and gain experience in the mining and industrial fields. In 2015 Steve wanted to ground himself back in Perth and as it happened ComSpark was looking for an experienced estimator and mentor. Steve has fitted back into ComSpark like he never left. His knowledge and skill sets make him valued asset and many of the younger Electricians seek guidance and assurance from Steve.

Chris Duncan was the 2015 Frank Battista Award winner. A peer chosen award and testament to the respect and admiration held for Chris among the ComSpark team. Given Chris had been with ComSpark for less than one year when he won the award speak volumes for the genuine, open leader he is.

Rory has over 11 years experience and strong knowledge of electrical fault finding, maintenance and installation. He runs ComSpark service teams and offers his knowledge and expertise to all ComSpark technicians.

John Neilsen

John joined ComSpark in 2009, undertaking breakdown and maintenance work, predominantly within ComSpark‘s contract to the Department of Finance, servicing many public schools and other public buidlings. John’s friendly and helpful personality make him a very big hit with our clients.

Kain Woodward

Electrician

Kain undertook his entire apprenticeship with ComSpark, undertaking his capstone in late 2015. Kain was a finalist in the 2014 NECA Apprentice of the Year Awards and the 2015 Master Electricians State Apprentice of the Year Winner and Finalist in the National Apprentice of the Year. Kain was also the 2013 Frank Battista award winner, the first Apprentice to be bestowed the honour. These accolades are only presented to the best, and Kain has demonstrated time and time again how he excels in problem solving and finding solutions even the most seasoned electrician may have failed to see. Clients comment on Kain’s helpful, can do attitude and hard working nature.

IT / AV Technician

Hugh joined ComSpark in 2015 to fill the IT / AV space desired by our clients. As the integration of IT/AV/Data and Electrical become immeshed, we believe this is a growth area and one that we will focus on. Hugh is a valuable source of knowledge for all our technicians and provides training at Toolbox meetings. At ComSpark we expect all our technicians to undertake IT and AV work. Hugh is currently undertaking a Certificate III in telecommunication as well as bringing together inhouse training and guidelines for IT work. We are also encouraging him to consider an electrical apprenticeship.

James happened to be working at our General Manager‘s house in a labour role and she noted his hard work ethic and friendly disposition. Always on the lookout for exceptional staff, she offered her business card and to give her a call if he ever thought about an electrical apprenticeship. It took him some time, but he made the call and joined the crew! Goes to show....you never know who’s house you’re working at!
