And the winner is..
Our company started a new tradition last year when we presented the inaugural Frank Battista award in remembrance ComSpark’s beloved Managing Director and Shareholder (2006-2011) who was a man who knew caring and giving in practice. He gave continuously and generously of his knowledge, time and resources (Head, Heart, Hands) to staff, clients, industry colleagues, and beyond. We endeavour to emulate his example every day.
Winner’s of the award are recognised by vote and honoured by their peers and customers; but receive no financial reward. Instead, half the monetary prize is donated by ComSpark to a cancer charity chosen by the company, and the other half is donated to a cancer charity chosen by the award winner.
This year’s winner is Kain Woodward, currently in the third year of his apprenticeship, was acknowledged as the most valuable contributor for the year 2013. Kain says “Winning this award is definitely special, it’s great to be recognised in this way and probably the highlight of my career, to date“.
Last year’s winner, Magdie Enous added “It was a true honour to be the very first recipient of the award” which took place in November of 2012. “Frank was an outstanding human being and a true mentor to me, it’s great that his legacy will live on through this initiative“.
